As a fashion photographer and frequent visitor to Italy, I often seek out unique accommodations, but my recent stay at Haka House provided a refreshing experience for my family and me. Nestled strategically away from the hustle of Queenstown's town centre, it was a mere 10-minute walk to reach lively shops and cafes-all while enjoying the serenity of the lakeside location. We appreciated the spacious bathroom facilities and the well-appointed rooms, which offered ample charging options for our devices, perfect for a family that relies on technology. The children enjoyed the safe, communal environment, making it easy for them to socialize with others. Though we didn't use the kitchen, it was well-stocked, which seems perfect for families looking to save on meals. Just a 30-minute drive to the Remarkables Ski Field, Haka House also acts as a convenient base for winter activities. While some noise could be heard now and then, it was manageable. Our family found it to be a good value for our ski getaway, combining comfort and accessibility in one place.
